Coms Students & Faculty Attend 70th Annual ICA Convention

Communication Studies students and faculty members digitally visited the 70th Annual International Communication Association Conference, which took place on May 20-27, 2020. Although this conference was originally scheduled to take place in Gold Coast Australia, it was moved to an online format to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Coms Students Present at CSU Research Symposium

The Communication Studies Department is enormously proud of our students who recently presented their original research at the 45th Annual CSU SSRIC Social Science Student Symposium. Although originally planned to take place in San Bernardino this year, the symposium was conducted in an online format via Zoom on May 7, 2020.

Comm Studies Annual Career Symposium

The Cal Poly Communication Studies Club is hosting their Annual Career Symposium next week. The Symposium provides an opportunity for students to learn more about ways that they can use their Communication Studies degree after graduation. Although organized by the Cal Poly Communication Studies Club, this event is open to all Cal Poly students. All majors are welcome!

As part of the university’s continuous commitment to diversity and inclusion, the annual Inclusion Starts with Me Teach In is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. This event is open to the campus community and offers a daylong series of workshops that focus on topics related to equity and social justice featuring Cal Poly educators.
