Dr. Jodie Steele joined the department in 2014. Dr. Steele earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where her research focused primarily on persuasion and attitude change in close relationships. Before moving back to her hometown of San Luis Obispo, Dr. Steele taught Group Dynamics/Small Group Communication at Berkeley College in New York City as an adjunct faculty member, while also working as a Vice President, Market Research Manager for JPMorgan Chase. Prior to that, Dr. Steele worked as a data analyst & strategic planner for an advertising & marketing agency in NYC.
